Profile
Marcia joined ICRH in 1998 and practices primarily in the health care area. She handles regulatory and transactional matters for a wide range of clients, including health care systems, hospitals, physicians and insurers. Marcia has significant experience in the areas of not-for-profit corporation law, corporate compliance, tax-exempt financing, Medicare and Medicaid billing, and tax exemption. She assists health care providers in structuring joint ventures, business transactions, and acquisitions that comply with the evolving health care regulatory environment.
Marcia is an officer of the Health Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is a contributor to the Health Law Section's blog, Supraspinatus, and has lectured to health care providers on numerous topics, including fraud and abuse, not-for-profit regulation, and HIPAA.
Before attending law school, Marcia served as an officer in the United States Navy. She then worked as a research associate at a federally funded research and development center and as a program analyst for the U.S. Department of Energy.
