Omer Gil

Profile

Omer practices in the areas of insurance fraud law, general litigation and athlete representation. He represents multiple insurance companies in their defense of fraudulent claims. His practice has included counseling clients with respect to investigations, pre-litigation issues and litigation of coverage, staged accidents and fraud matters. He has appeared before state courts and arbitration forums, and has conducted examinations under oath in the defense and prosecution of insurance fraud claims.

As a licensed FIBA (international basketball federation) and New York State athlete agent, Omer represents basketball players who wish to pursue a career in international professional basketball.

While in law school, Omer was an intern with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, and he completed a clinical internship with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in its Miami, Florida, office.

Omer is active in various community organizations and received the distinguished Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce "Forty Under 40" award in 2011.
