ALBANY, NY (March 4, 2009) — Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP (ICRH), a general practice law firm with offices in Albany and Poughkeepsie, today announced that James Lagios of Guilderland has been named partner.
Lagios, who joined the firm as an associate in 2002, practices in business, creditors'/debtors' rights, workouts and bankruptcy, and litigation. He has litigated various issues in adversary proceedings, as well as represented creditors and debtors in workouts and post-judgment enforcement proceedings.

During his time at ICRH, Lagios has gained considerable experience litigating cases involving the New York Labor Law, Insurance Law, and Public Health Law. He has also represented corporate clients in commercial transactions, including asset and real estate purchases, and has also assisted hospitals, health insurance companies, and not-for-profit entities with complex regulatory issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Lagios practiced with the New York City law firm of Shearman and Sterling in the firm's bank finance and bankruptcy department. Before that, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Albert M. Rosenblatt, Associate Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals.
Admitted to practice in New York and before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Lagios is a summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz and holds his juris doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University (magna cum laude).
A native of St. Paul, MN, he is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association, and Mid-Hudson Bankruptcy Bar Association.
