ALBANY, NY (March 4, 2009) — Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP (ICRH), a general practice law firm with offices in Albany and Poughkeepsie, announces that John F. Queenan, a senior associate in the firm's Albany office, has been named partner.
Queenan, who joined the firm in 2004, practices in the areas of commercial, personal injury and civil rights litigation, and criminal defense.

Prior to joining ICRH, the Delmar resident practiced with the New York City Law Department, office of corporation counsel, where he initially served as a prosecutor in the law department's juvenile prosecution unit.
Later on, he served as assistant deputy borough chief in Bronx County, designated felony unit prosecutor in Queens County, and as deputy borough chief in Queens County, all in the juvenile prosecution unit. During these assignments, he also acted as litigation counsel in certain matters for the New York City Department of Education and Department of Juvenile Justice.
He also has experience serving as a member of the special federal litigation division of the law department, in which he defended civil rights actions brought against the New York City Policy Department, Department of Corrections, and other law enforcement agencies of the City of New York.
Admitted to practice in New York and before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York, Queenan is a summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and holds his juris doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University (magna cum laude).
He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, American Health Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association and Albany County Bar Association.
