Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP, is pleased to announce that the firm’s Director of Administration, Mary E. Lawson, has been selected to serve as Regional Officer for the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). ICRH represents clients in many areas of law, including health care, litigation, construction, corporate, creditors’ rights, employment, insurance fraud, real estate, trusts and estates, and NYS liquor licensing and compliance.
Ms. Lawson has played an active role in the ALA since 1993, when she joined the organization’s Albany Chapter, then known as the Hudson Valley Chapter. As a member of the Albany Chapter, she served as secretary, treasurer, vice-president and president, most recently completing a year as past president in March of 2010. Ms. Lawson also served on ALA’s Regional Nominating Committee for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions in 2001 and 2008.
“Our firm has supported Mary’s membership in ALA for many years, and we appreciate the importance of the organization’s mission. We’re very pleased that ALA has recognized Mary’s accomplishments by choosing her for this position, and we’re confident she will be a valuable addition to the regional management team,” said Carol Hyde, the firm’s managing partner.
Ms. Lawson has been the Director of Administration for ICRH since the firm’s founding in 1991. She splits her time between the firm’s Albany and Poughkeepsie offices, and works directly with the firm’s managing partner on business, financial and firm policy matters. Ms. Lawson graduated (cum laude) from Boston University’s School of Management.
“As a regional officer, I’m looking forward to helping ALA further its mission of promoting and enhancing the competence and professionalism of our membership,” said Lawson. “ALA is a wonderful organization and is an invaluable tool in helping administrators and law firms stay abreast of the fast pace of changes in the legal industry, and I want to help get that message out beyond our current membership.”
