Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP, Joins International Society of Primerus Law Firms

Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP (ICRH), is pleased to announce that the firm is now a member of The International Society of Primerus Law Firms (Primerus). Primerus (www.primerus.com/about.htm) is an international alliance of over 150 small and medium-sized, top-rated independent firms. Primerus members, collectively, offer the breadth of expertise and jurisdictional coverage that only the world’s largest law firms can offer to their clients, but at more reasonable rates. All Primerus law firms located in the U.S. are AV-rated using the Martindale-Hubbell peer review service; screened for excellence; audited annually for continued quality; and committed to excellence in six key areas: integrity, reasonable fees, continuing education, civility, community service, and excellent work product. ICRH represents a diverse body of clients throughout New York State, including health care systems and providers, HMOs, not-for-profit entities, construction and government contractors, engineering firms, licensed professionals, insurance companies, banks, manufacturers, and retailers.

Litigation partner James Lagios recently attended the Primerus Defense Group Convocation in Phoenix, Arizona, and stated that “I’m excited to be affiliated with such a fine group of lawyers who are committed to staying at the forefront of the practice of law as medium-sized firms.” Mr. Lagios believes that first-rate, medium-sized firms such as ICRH and its Primerus affiliates can provide special opportunities for clients. Thriving at such a firm requires unusual confidence and drive. According to Mr. Lagios: “We need to prove ourselves with every case, because we do not have the institutional pipelines maintained by mega firms. Over time, this builds confidence, independence, and ultimately security – which are all qualities of a fine lawyer. And without the overhead of a mega firm, we can deliver our services in a more cost-effective manner.”

Managing partner Carol Hyde is particularly eager for ICRH to participate in the Primerus Annual Conference, where firms gather to share insight into best practices and other issues of firm management and governance. According to Ms. Hyde: “Advances in legal software technology are leveling the playing field. Never before have medium-sized law firms had access to so many powerful off-the-shelf solutions. But keeping at the forefront requires that we distinguish gadgets from game-changers. Primerus will give us an outstanding opportunity to learn from the collective experience of other high-quality firms in an objective forum.”
