Ms. Hyde practices in the areas of health care, business and transactional matters. She has counseled a variety of health care-related clients, including hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, drug and alcohol treatment centers, hospices, independent practice associations, third-party administrators, and private physicians and practitioners with respect to the full range of corporate, regulatory, reimbursement, contract, employment and employee benefits, and real estate matters. She also represents not-for-profit organizations and closely held businesses outside the health care field. Ms. Hyde also has substantial experience in the development of health care facilities and their financing.

Ms. Hyde is admitted to practice before the courts of New York and the United States Tax Court. She is a member of the New York State and Albany County Bar Associations and the American Health Lawyers Association. Ms. Hyde carries the highest rating (AV) from the Martindale-Hubbell lawyer registry, a rating based solely upon peer evaluations.

Ms. Hyde has lectured on the topics of contracting with physicians, the "Stark" law and fraud and abuse, confidentiality of medical records, advance directives, powers of attorney and charitable giving for various organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, the Hospital Education and Research Fund of the Healthcare Association of New York State, The Community Foundation for the Capital Region, and the New York State Ambulatory Health Care Association.

A native of Michigan, Ms. Hyde received a Bachelor of General Studies degree, with distinction, from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and her law degree (magna cum laude) from Albany Law School of Union University, where she graduated first in her class, was a finalist in the intra-school Gabrielli Moot Court Competition, and was elected to the Justinian Society for academic excellence.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Hyde served for two years as attorney-advisor to the Honorable Charles R. Simpson, a judge of the United States Tax Court, in Washington, D.C., where she assisted Judge Simpson in the preparation of numerous legal decisions relating to a variety of tax-related questions, including the proper valuation of real property, businesses and charitable contributions, permissible methods of inventory accounting, tax shelters and civil tax fraud.
