Ms. Sosler practices in the area of health care law. She
has counseled a variety of health care-related clients,
including hospitals, hospices, adult homes, nursing homes,
assisted living residences, health maintenance organizations,
and private physicians and practitioners, on a wide variety
of matters, including the following: regulatory, corporate,
transactional, contract, employment, employee benefits,
corporate compliance, tax exemption, and certificate of
need issues.
Ms. Sosler is admitted before the courts of New York and
the United States District Court for the Northern District
of New York. She is a member of the Albany County, New York
State and American Bar Associations, the Capital District
Women’s Bar Association, and American Health Lawyers
Association.
Ms. Sosler has lectured on various topics, including the
“Stark” law, New York public charities, tax-exempt
status for corporations, HIPAA, and the confidentiality
of medical records.
Ms. Sosler earned her Bachelor of Science degree (cum
laude) in accounting from LeMoyne College and her Master’s
degree in business administration from the State University
of New York at Albany. Before entering law school, Ms. Sosler
was employed for several years with MetLife in New York
City as a senior business procedures consultant, specializing
in communications and marketing. Ms. Sosler received her
law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where
she was an editor of The Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.
Ms. Sosler was an associate attorney with the Albany law
firm of Whiteman, Osterman & Hanna before joining Iseman,
Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP, as an associate attorney. |
