Joshua E. Mackey, a native of Poughkeepsie, concentrates
his practice in Insurance Fraud Law. His litigation background
includes extensive experience in preventing, investigating
and defending against insurance fraud in various areas,
such as no-fault, liability, automobile theft, and arson.
Mr. Mackey has also conducted Special Investigative Unit
(SIU) training for major insurance companies and Fortune
500 companies. In addition, he has represented corporations
and individuals nationwide in domain name disputes, recovering
hijacked domains from cybersquatters and defending the rights
of legitimate domainers.
Before becoming of counsel to the firm of Iseman, Cunningham,
Riester & Hyde, LLP, Mr. Mackey was a partner in the
New Rochelle firm of McDonough Marcus Cohn Tretter Heller
& Kanca, LLP. Prior to that, he was a partner in a New
York City insurance defense firm.
Mr. Mackey is admitted to practice before the courts of
the State of New York. He is a member of the New York State
Bar Association; Association of Certified Fraud Examiners;
National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators;
Defense Research Institute; New York Anti-Car Theft &
Fraud Association, Inc.; Defense Research Institute; National
Society of Professional Insurance Investigators; and the
New York County Lawyers Association. He also has served on his local homeowner association board, and currently serves as a member of the Town of Washington Planning Board. In addition, Mr. Mackey is a Volunteer Attorney with Legal Services of the Hudson Valley.
A graduate of Assumption College, Mr. Mackey worked at the
Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation before
attending law school. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law
School.
