Ms. Terner, a native of Kingston, currently practices in the area of business and health care transactional and litigation matters. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) from Princeton University, where she majored in Econmics, and was the recipient of a National Merit Scholarship.

She attended law school at the State of University of New York at Buffalo, where she was in the top one percent of her class and was selected for Law Review. Ms. Terner received her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Terner practiced for eleven years at Reid & Priest (now Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP) in New York City, for three years in-house at the chemical manufacturing company BASF, and for three years as a trial attorney and officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Most recently, Ms. Terner was a solo practitioner and advised entrepreneurial clients in matters related to charitable organizations, computer and internet law, and medical equipment development and distribution.

Ms Terner’s corporate transactional experience includes corporate formation and governance, shareholder agreements, technology law, professional services agreements, joint ventures, software licensing, construction, and real estate. Her regulatory experience includes HIPPA and FDA compliance.

Ms Terner’s litigation experience includes representation of clients in complex corporate and commercial disputes in the areas of employment, attorney, accountant and appraiser malpractice, officer and director liability, creditors’ rights, product liability, securities fraud, contract, restrictive covenants, advertising, and regulated industries.

Ms. Terner is admitted to practice before the courts of the states of New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Court of Military Appeals. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Health Law Section), Ulster County Bar Association, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, American Health Lawyers Association, Dutchess County Bar Association, and Mid-Hudson Women's Bar Association.
